Rob Quigley sees architecture not as a made object but as platform for human experience to be choreographed and enriched with the culture of context. 

Collaborative by nature, his studio has developed unique methods to authentically engage both client and user in the creative process.   He is skilled at extracting emotion and meaning from both the community and the place, as well as leveraging both challenging budgets and difficult political situations. 

Unlike many design oriented architects, Quigley has been an engaged and outspoken advocate for the public realm.  Amusingly, Our City Magazine chose him as the 11th most powerful person in San Diego.

Inspired by the mid 1970s oil crisis, Quigley was an early pioneer of sustainable design.  He built a demonstration house in Japan and lectured internationally.  Quigley considers climate responsibility as a gateway to a more sensual and profound architectural solution.
